Gen Z environmentalist has a way for businesses and shoppers to make a difference - profitably

Generation Z continuously monitors whether or not corporations, brands, and governments care about the future of young people. Caring and doing good are the main connection points between brands and Gen Z consumers today. Even more important than product quality and benefits.

So it seemed natural for Arushi Aggarwal, a busy Gen Z sophomore from New Jersey, to add App developer to her growing list of endeavors — because her app, iBlum, acts as an environmental awareness incentive.

Arushi, 15, is an active supporter of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals initiative and is involved with projects to boost goals 4, 8, and 10. In fact, she founded an international nonprofit organization dedicated to closing the gender gap in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) as a way to further expand awareness of quality education for all.

The game-changing vision for iBlum is to connect consumers, businesses, organizations, and governments to work together for climate action — motivated by incentives delivered through gamification.

The app motivates individuals and organizations to make positive community changes while acting socially responsible. How? Through game-like incentives. Organizations and merchants offer consumers perks for making environmentally-conscious purchase decisions. In turn, the businesses align their brand with civic and social responsibility — a critical trait for Gen Z and a growing number of consumers.

Customized digital coupons generated via the iBlum app for participating businesses and organizations will raise brand and corporate awareness among savvy changemakers.

Globally, the mobile coupons industry is slated to grow by 56.5% by 2025         (Orian Research)
By 2022, mobile will account for 80% of total coupon redemption                          (Juniper Research)

What’s the iBlum value proposition?
